The THOMAS BETTS C10-8-SK is a non-insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for secure crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 12 to 10 AWG. The terminal measures 0.82 inches long and 0.31 inches wide, fitting a No. 8 stud. The copper contact is plated with titanium nitride (TiN) for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. This terminal is used by electricians, HVAC technicians, and panel wiring professionals who need a compact, low-profile ring lug where insulation clearance is not required. It meets UL 486A, UL 486B, and CSA 22.2 standards and carries UL Listed status under UL File E9809.
This terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, control panel assembly, HVAC low-voltage wiring, and equipment grounding connections. Its D-shaped barrel profile allows precise positioning on a stud or screw terminal. Typical applications include securing conductors to terminal blocks, equipment chassis, and bus bars where 10 or 12 AWG wire is used. The yellow color coding assists with quick visual identification during installation and inspection. Each package contains 50 terminals with a minimum order quantity of 1.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp ring terminal for use with 12 to 10 AWG copper wire on No. 8 stud or screw terminations in electrical panels, control boards, and equipment wiring assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or licensed technician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for the terminal series to achieve a proper gas-tight crimp — do not use pliers or non-rated tools. Inspect the finished crimp for barrel deformation and verify secure conductor seating before re-energizing.
