The THOMAS BETTS BL116 is a steel snap-in blank designed to close unused 2-inch conduit knockouts in electrical enclosures, panels, and junction boxes. It installs without tools by snapping directly into the knockout opening, providing a secure, finished closure that keeps out debris and maintains enclosure integrity. Electricians use this fitting as a standard housekeeping item during new construction, panel upgrades, and service work wherever open knockouts must be sealed. At 0.06 pounds, it is a lightweight single-piece component rated for use with intermediate metal conduit and rigid conduit systems.
This snap-in blank is suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where 2-inch conduit knockouts are left unused after conduit routing is complete. It is commonly installed in metallic enclosures, load centers, pull boxes, and wireway fittings. The part ships as a single unit and is appropriate for jobsite restocking or single-point repair needs.
Designed for use with intermediate metal conduit and rigid conduit. Fits standard 2-inch knockout openings in metallic electrical enclosures and boxes.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for enclosure integrity. De-energize the panel or enclosure before accessing interior knockouts. Align the blank over the knockout opening and apply firm, even pressure until the snap-in tabs engage fully. Do not force the blank into an opening that has been deformed, as a secure snap fit is required for proper retention.
