The THOMAS BETTS B-804 is a steel strut channel end cap designed to close off and protect the open ends of strut channel installations. Finished in a gold galvanized coating, it resists corrosion and provides a clean termination point for exposed channel runs. The cap is sized for 1-5/8 x 1-13/16 inch channel and ships individually. Electricians and mechanical contractors install these end caps during strut channel system buildouts to prevent debris entry, eliminate sharp edge exposure, and maintain a professional finished appearance on framing runs.
This end cap is used in commercial and residential electrical, mechanical, and plumbing support applications wherever strut channel is employed as a structural framing or conduit support system. It is appropriate for both interior and exposed applications where a galvanized finish is acceptable. Installation is typically performed during the final stages of strut assembly after all hangers, fittings, and equipment have been secured to the channel run.
Designed for use with Thomas Betts B-1400 Type Channel/Strut in 1-5/8 x 1-13/16 inch profile.
End caps are typically installed by electricians or mechanical contractors as a final step in strut channel system assembly. No special tools are required beyond standard hand tools used to press or snap the cap onto the channel end. Ensure all fasteners and equipment connections on the channel run are complete before installing end caps. Follow applicable NEC or local mechanical code requirements for strut support system finishing.
