The THOMAS BETTS ADR25 is a non-insulated square ring terminal designed for making secure, low-resistance electrical connections on 6 AWG conductors. The terminal features an aluminum contact body with a titanium nitride (TiN) contact plating, which resists oxidation and maintains conductivity over time. It measures 2 inches in overall length and 1 inch in ring width, with a 5/16-inch stud size and a thickness of 1/4 inch. This terminal is intended for use by licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on power distribution, grounding, and equipment termination applications where a non-insulated, square-profile ring lug is required.
The ADR25 is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where 6 AWG aluminum terminations are called for. Its square ring geometry accommodates stud-mounted connections on bus bars, ground lugs, panelboards, and similar equipment. The non-insulated design allows for direct inspection of the crimped connection and is compatible with standard open-barrel crimping tools rated for 6 AWG terminals.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ring terminal for 6 AWG conductor applications requiring a non-insulated square ring lug with a 5/16-inch stud size.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or replacing any ring terminal. Use a calibrated open-barrel crimping tool rated for 6 AWG to achieve a proper mechanical and electrical crimp. Do not re-use a terminal that has been removed from service.
