The THOMAS BETTS A18-14 is a non-insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for crimp connections on copper conductors ranging from 22 to 16 AWG. The contact is made from copper with a TiN (titanium nitride) plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The terminal measures 0.92 inches in overall length and 0.5 inches in ring width, fitting a 1/4-inch stud. It meets UL 486A, UL 486B, CSA 22.2, and RoHS compliance standards, making it appropriate for use in panels, control wiring, and equipment grounding applications installed by licensed electricians and controls technicians.
This ring terminal is suited for low-voltage control wiring, HVAC equipment connections, and general electrical panel work in both residential and light commercial settings. Its non-insulated design is intended for use where a separate insulating sleeve or close-tolerance wire management is already in place. The 1/4-inch stud size is a common fit for terminal blocks, bus bars, and equipment ground lugs. Each package contains 100 terminals, making it practical for production wiring and service work alike.

Use a calibrated ratchet crimping tool with the correct die set for non-insulated terminals and the applicable wire gauge — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools, as an improper crimp can result in a high-resistance connection or pull-out failure. Inspect the completed crimp for full conductor insertion and barrel deformation before closing the panel or enclosure.
