The THOMAS BETTS 702 2-STR is a 12-gauge galvanized pipe and conduit clamp designed to secure 2-inch rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) to Unistrut-style strut channel. Constructed from galvanized steel, this clamp provides corrosion resistance suited to both interior and exterior applications. The heavy-gauge construction delivers the mechanical strength required for supporting conduit runs in commercial and industrial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting.
This clamp is used in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations where rigid IMC conduit must be supported along walls, ceilings, or structural members. It fits standard 2-inch pipe or conduit and mounts to Unistrut or B-Line strut channel systems, making it a common component in panel feeds, exposed conduit runs, and mechanical room wiring. The gold galvanized finish is appropriate for damp and moderately corrosive environments.
Listed as cross-reference to Unistrut Part Number P1117 and B-Line Part Number B2013. Designed for use with 2-inch rigid IMC conduit secured to standard strut channel framing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) conduit support spacing requirements. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit work. Secure the clamp to strut channel using the appropriate hardware and verify the conduit is fully seated in the clamp before tightening. Inspect the galvanized finish for damage after installation in outdoor or corrosive environments.
