The THOMAS BETTS 5351HT is an angled, threaded conduit connector designed for liquid-tight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) applications. Constructed from steel with an insulated fitting body, this connector provides a secure, watertight and oiltight termination at enclosure knockouts. The angled profile allows conduit to enter a panel or junction box at an offset, which is particularly useful in tight or congested installation areas. Electricians use this fitting to terminate 3/8 inch trade size liquid-tight conduit runs in environments where moisture, oils, or washdown conditions are present.
This connector is suited for industrial, commercial, and residential electrical installations where liquid-tight conduit is routed to motors, compressors, pumps, HVAC equipment, and control enclosures. The 3/8 inch trade size fits standard liquid-tight flexible metal conduit of the same trade size. The angled body eases routing in confined spaces and reduces stress on the conduit jacket where a straight connector would be impractical. The insulated throat protects wire insulation at the point of entry.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/8 inch trade size liquid-tight flexible metal conduit systems in watertight and oiltight service environments.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for liquid-tight flexible metal conduit fittings. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before working inside any enclosure. Thread the connector into the knockout hand-tight, then tighten with the appropriate conduit fitting wrench to ensure a secure, watertight seal without over-torquing the fitting body. Verify the insulated throat is intact and properly seated before pulling wire through the connector.
