The THOMAS BETTS 503SC is a standard beam clamp designed to suspend threaded rod from structural steel flanges in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations. Built from malleable iron with an electro-galvanized finish, it resists corrosion in typical indoor service environments. The clamp accepts a 1/2-13 threaded rod and supports a load capacity of 1,300 pounds, making it suitable for hanging conduit, pipe, duct, and other trade hardware from I-beams and wide-flange structural members. It is rated to CSA LR-63683 and intended for use by licensed electricians, pipefitters, plumbers, and mechanical contractors.
The 503SC suits commercial and industrial construction where threaded-rod hanger assemblies attach to exposed structural steel.
