The THOMAS BETTS 364RF is a heavy-duty cable cutter built for cutting copper and aluminum cables in demanding electrical trade applications. With an overall length of 21.5 inches, the tool provides the leverage needed to cleanly cut large-gauge conductors. It handles copper cables up to 500 MCM and aluminum cables up to 500 MCM, with a rated capacity of 750 MCM. The rubber handle provides grip and control during use. This tool is intended for use by licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on commercial, industrial, or large residential installations where high-capacity conductor work is routine.
The 364RF is suited for panel work, service entrance installations, feeder runs, and any application involving large copper or aluminum conductors. It is designed for jobsite use where a reliable, single-cut solution for heavy cable is required. Typical applications include cutting THHN, XHHW, and similar large-gauge wire during rough-in or service work. The 21.5-inch overall length falls within the 18-inch to 23.9-inch range class for heavy-duty cable cutters.
Designed for cutting copper and aluminum cables; compatible with large-gauge conductors including those up to 500 MCM copper and 500 MCM aluminum as encountered in commercial and industrial electrical work.
Cable cutters of this type are used by licensed electricians working under NEC guidelines. Always de-energize and verify circuits are dead using a calibrated voltage tester before cutting any conductor. Inspect the cutting head and pivot for wear before each use. Do not use this tool on energized conductors as it is not rated as an insulated cutting tool.
