The THOMAS BETTS 2930 is a straight liquidtight strain relief cord grip designed to secure and protect flexible cable or cordage at the point of entry into a liquidtight conduit fitting or enclosure. Constructed from steel, it accepts cable diameters ranging from 0.125 to 0.375 inches and features a 3/4-inch NPT thread for secure installation into standard threaded knockouts or hubs. With an overall length of 1-25/32 inches, this compact fitting provides reliable strain relief while maintaining a liquidtight seal. It is a staple fitting used by electricians in both industrial and commercial wiring applications.
This cord grip is suited for installations where flexible cords or cables must enter enclosures, junction boxes, or equipment with liquidtight conduit connections. The straight configuration makes it appropriate for direct, inline entries where no angular offset is needed. Electricians use this fitting in panel wiring, machine tool hookups, motor connections, and anywhere a secure, moisture-resistant cord entry point is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard fitting for use with 3/4-inch NPT threaded enclosures, junction boxes, and equipment requiring a liquidtight straight strain relief cord grip.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for cord and cable protection at enclosure entries. De-energize all circuits and follow lockout/tagout procedures before beginning work. Thread the fitting into the 3/4-inch NPT knockout by hand first, then tighten with the appropriate wrench to achieve a secure, liquidtight seal. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads or compromise the fitting body.
