The THOMAS BETTS 2575 is a straight liquidtight strain relief cord grip designed to secure and protect cables at conduit entry points in wet or damp environments. Built from zinc, this fitting accepts cables ranging from 1.625 to 1.875 inches in diameter and threads into a 2-inch NPT conduit opening. With an overall length of 3.5 inches, it provides reliable mechanical grip and liquidtight integrity for electrical installations where cable movement and moisture ingress must be controlled. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in commercial and industrial panel, junction, and enclosure applications.
This cord grip is suited for straight-entry installations where a liquidtight seal is required at the cable entry point of an enclosure, panel, or conduit fitting. The 2-inch NPT thread size makes it appropriate for medium to large cable runs in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and utility enclosures. It is installed where cables must resist pull-out forces and where the entry point is exposed to moisture, washdown conditions, or outdoor environments. The straight profile accommodates direct cable routing without bends at the fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style strain relief fitting for use with 2-inch NPT liquidtight conduit entries on electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels accepting cables up to 1.875 inches in diameter.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for strain relief and liquidtight fittings. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel or enclosure before beginning work. Thread the fitting into the 2-inch NPT knockout by hand before tightening with an appropriate wrench to achieve a secure, liquidtight connection. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the zinc threads or compromise the seal.
