The THOMAS BETTS 15009-100 is a flexible liquidtight conduit designed to protect electrical wiring in wet, oily, or otherwise demanding environments. Constructed from gray polyvinylchloride (PVC), it provides a watertight seal around conductors while maintaining the bend flexibility required for equipment connections and motor terminations. The trade size is 1-1/4 inches, with an inside diameter of 1.385 inches and an outside diameter of 1.645 inches. The coil ships at 100 feet total length and is sold in 1-foot cut increments with a 50-foot minimum cut length. Licensed electricians install this conduit type in commercial, industrial, and utility applications where rigid conduit is impractical at the final connection point.
This conduit is suited for use in industrial machinery connections, HVAC equipment wiring, pump installations, and outdoor or damp-location electrical runs where the raceway must resist moisture ingress. The PVC jacket resists many common chemicals and oils, making it a practical choice for mechanical rooms, rooftop equipment, and wet process areas. It is installed with compatible liquidtight fittings and connectors rated for the trade size.
Designed for use with liquidtight flexible conduit fittings and connectors rated for 1-1/4 inch trade size. Verify fitting compatibility with the conduit outside diameter of 1.645 inches before installation.
Installation of liquidtight flexible conduit must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits completely before beginning any raceway work. Use fittings and connectors listed and rated for liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit at the appropriate trade size. Avoid kinking or over-bending the conduit below its minimum bend radius, and support the run at intervals required by the applicable code section.
