The THOMAS BETTS 14RB-4 is a partially insulated, D-shaped ring terminal designed for crimp connections on 18 to 14 AWG copper conductors. The terminal body is copper with a TiN contact plating and a blue vinyl insulation sleeve for quick visual wire-gauge identification. At 0.94 inches in overall length and 0.25 inches wide, it fits a No. 4 stud. This terminal is a standard choice for licensed electricians and control-panel technicians working on low-voltage wiring, panel terminations, and equipment grounding connections where a secure, inspectable crimp joint is required.
The 14RB-4 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical applications, including control wiring, appliance terminations, and motor lead connections. It is packaged in quantities of 100 units per pack, making it practical for service vehicles, panel shops, and production wiring operations that require consistent, high-volume terminations on 18 to 14 AWG conductors.
Designed for use with 18 to 14 AWG copper conductors and No. 4 stud hardware in standard crimp-terminal applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or removing any ring terminal. Use a calibrated ratchet crimp tool rated for the wire gauge and terminal series to achieve a proper crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools as substitutes. Inspect the completed crimp for conductor pullout and insulation damage before restoring power.
