The THOMAS BETTS 149 is applied in non-hazardous indoor and outdoor electrical installations where rigid or IMC conduit terminates at an enclosure, panelboard, or electrical box. At 3-1/2 inch trade size, it is well suited to larger commercial and light industrial conduit runs. It is not rated for use in classified hazardous locations. This fitting is installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits and verify zero voltage before beginning any conduit termination work. Hand-tighten the locknut onto the conduit threads, then seat it firmly against the enclosure knockout using a locknut wrench or screwdriver and hammer to ensure a tight mechanical connection. Do not use in classified hazardous locations.
