The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn4strwhtmr is a 4 AWG stranded copper conductor THHN wire with white PVC insulation and a nylon jacket, sold cut to length. It carries a 600-volt rating and supports current loads of 70 amps at 60 degrees C, 85 amps at 75 degrees C, and 100 amps at 90 degrees C. The 19-strand construction provides flexibility during pull-through in conduit runs. The 90-degree C dry temperature rating makes it suitable for standard branch circuit and feeder wiring in commercial and residential applications. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this product.
This wire is used in conduit installations for branch circuits, feeder runs, and general-purpose power distribution in both residential and commercial settings. The white insulation color is commonly used to designate neutral conductors in multi-wire branch circuits or as a phase conductor when properly re-identified per NEC requirements. The cut-to-length format reduces waste on job sites where standard spool quantities are not required. It is well suited for panel feeds, sub-panel wiring, and motor circuit applications within its ampacity ratings.
Designed as a standard THHN-type copper conductor for use in conduit or raceway systems where 4 AWG 600-volt wire is specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. THHN wire must be installed in conduit or a listed raceway — it is not rated for direct burial or wet locations in this configuration. Verify ampacity derating requirements when bundling multiple current-carrying conductors in a single conduit.
