The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn3/0strblkmr is a 3/0 AWG stranded copper conductor wire rated for 600 volts with a 90 degrees C dry temperature rating. It features a black PVC thermoplastic insulation layer with a nylon jacket, which is the standard THHN/THWN-2 construction used in conduit runs throughout residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems. The 19-strand configuration provides flexibility during pull-through in EMT, rigid, or PVC conduit. Ampacity is 165 amps at 60 degrees C, 200 amps at 75 degrees C, and 225 amps at 90 degrees C, making it suitable for high-current branch circuits, feeder runs, and service entrance applications. Licensed electricians perform installation in accordance with NEC requirements.
This wire is sold cut to length and is appropriate for use in conduit-fed feeder circuits, panel feeds, and large-load branch circuits in both residential and commercial construction. The 3/0 AWG size is commonly specified for sub-panel feeds, large HVAC equipment circuits, and motor branch circuits requiring substantial ampacity. The black insulation color conforms to standard color-coding practices for ungrounded (hot) conductors in multi-wire systems.
