The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn2/0strwhtmr is a 2/0 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C in dry environments. The conductor is made up of 19 strands of copper, insulated with PVC thermoplastic and jacketed in nylon for added abrasion and oil resistance. This wire is sold cut to length, making it practical for commercial and residential electrical installations where specific footage is needed. Current capacity is 145 amps at 60 degrees C, 175 amps at 75 degrees C, and 195 amps at 90 degrees C. Licensed electricians are the primary installers of this conductor type.
THHN 2/0 stranded copper wire is used in conduit runs for service entrance feeders, panel-to-panel circuits, large motor circuits, and branch circuits requiring high ampacity. It is appropriate for both residential service upgrades and light commercial distribution work. The white insulation color is commonly used for neutral conductors or for phase identification in multi-wire branch circuits per NEC color-coding conventions. The cut-to-length format suits contractors who need exact quantities for a specific job without purchasing full reels.
Designed for use in conduit systems in accordance with NEC Article 310 requirements for THHN conductors in dry locations rated up to 600 volts.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling or terminating conductors. This wire is rated for dry locations only and must be installed inside approved conduit. Do not exceed the temperature or ampacity ratings listed for the installed condition.
