The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn2/0strredmr is a 2/0 AWG stranded copper conductor THHN wire with red PVC insulation and a nylon jacket, rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C in dry environments. Constructed with 19 strands of copper for flexibility during pull-in, this wire carries up to 195 amps at 90 degrees C, 175 amps at 75 degrees C, or 145 amps at 60 degrees C depending on the installation temperature rating applied. It is sold cut to length, making it practical for service entrance work, feeder runs, and branch circuit installations where precise footage is needed. Licensed electricians handling commercial and residential projects rely on this gauge for heavy-load applications.
This wire is suited for use in conduit or raceways in dry locations where THHN-rated conductors are required by code. Common applications include panel feeders, subpanel runs, motor circuits, and large-load branch circuits in residential and light commercial construction. The red insulation color supports phase identification in multi-conductor installations, helping speed up termination and inspection. Because it is cut to length, it is well matched to job-specific pulls where standard spool quantities would result in significant waste.
Designed for use in conduit, raceways, and enclosed wiring systems where THHN conductors rated at 600 volts are required per NEC specifications in dry locations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all circuits before terminating or connecting conductors. THHN wire is rated for dry locations only and should not be exposed to moisture or direct burial without additional listed protection. Verify conduit fill calculations using the 518 mil outer diameter before pulling to avoid overfill.
