The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn14strorg500r is a 14 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire supplied on a 500-foot spool with orange PVC insulation and a nylon jacket. Rated at 600 volts, it is suitable for use in conduit runs in dry and wet locations across residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems. The 19-strand configuration provides flexibility during pull-through, making it easier to route through conduit bends compared to solid conductor wire. Licensed electricians install this wire for branch circuits, panel feeds, and general wiring applications governed by the National Electrical Code.
This wire is well-suited for 15-amp branch circuit wiring where orange color coding aids identification in multi-wire installations. It performs in dry environments up to 90 degrees C and in wet environments up to 75 degrees C, covering a broad range of conduit applications indoors and outdoors. The 500-foot spool length is practical for commercial work and larger residential projects where continuous runs reduce splice points.
Designed as a standard THHN building wire for use in conduit or raceways per NEC guidelines, suitable for 15-amp branch circuits in residential and commercial electrical systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling or terminating wire. THHN wire must be installed inside approved conduit or raceways and is not rated for direct burial or free-air applications without additional protection. Verify conductor ampacity derating requirements when bundling multiple current-carrying conductors in a single conduit.
