The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn12solwht2500r is a 12 AWG solid copper THHN building wire rated for general-purpose electrical wiring in residential and light commercial construction. The conductor is solid plain copper with a PVC insulation layer and a nylon jacket, giving it the dual-rated THHN/THWN-2 profile common to this wire type. Rated at 600 volts and 20 amps, it carries a 90 degrees C dry rating and a 75 degrees C wet rating. This 2500-foot reel format is suited for rough-in wiring work where large wire pulls are needed. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this product.
This wire is used in branch circuit wiring for residential and commercial applications including panel feeders, outlet circuits, lighting circuits, and general-purpose 20-amp branch runs. The solid conductor construction is typical for 12 AWG installations where connections to screw terminals and wire nuts are standard. The white insulation color is used for identification per NEC color-coding practices, commonly designated as a neutral conductor in single-phase systems. The 2500-foot reel reduces the need for mid-run splices on longer pulls through conduit.
Designed as a standard THHN building wire suitable for use in conduit or cable trays in residential and light commercial electrical systems where 12 AWG solid copper conductors are specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before making any terminations. THHN wire must be installed in a raceway, conduit, or approved enclosure and is not rated for direct burial or free-air use without conduit. Verify conductor sizing, breaker rating, and conduit fill against NEC tables before pulling wire.
