The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn10stryel2500r is a 10 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire supplied on a 2500-foot reel. The conductor is made from copper with a 19-strand configuration, wrapped in PVC insulation and a nylon jacket. It carries a 600-volt rating and is rated for 90 degrees C in dry environments and 75 degrees C in wet environments. Current capacity is 30 amps at 90 degrees C, 20 amps at 75 degrees C, and 20 amps at 60 degrees C. The yellow insulation color allows for straightforward circuit identification during rough-in and panel work. Licensed electricians install this wire in residential and commercial applications.
This wire is used in conduit installations for branch circuits, feeders, and general-purpose wiring in both residential and commercial construction. The 2500-foot reel quantity is suited for larger projects or electrical contractors who need extended runs without splicing. THHN-rated wire is a standard choice for installations inside conduit or raceways, whether indoors or in wet locations where the 75-degree-C wet rating applies. The yellow insulation color is commonly used to identify specific circuit functions according to the installer's color-coding convention.
Designed for use in conduit or raceway systems where THHN-rated 10 AWG stranded copper wire is specified per NEC requirements for branch circuits and feeders.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all circuits before pulling or terminating wire. THHN wire is rated for use inside conduit or approved raceways and should not be used as exposed wiring without additional protection. Verify conduit fill calculations before pulling multiple conductors through the same raceway.
