The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn1/0strblumr is a 1/0 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated for 600 volts. The conductor is made up of 19 strands of copper, insulated with PVC thermoplastic and jacketed with nylon, giving it the abrasion and oil resistance required for conduit installation. Current capacity is 125 amps at 60 degrees C, 150 amps at 75 degrees C, and 170 amps at 90 degrees C. This wire is sold cut to length and is intended for use by licensed electricians in branch circuit, feeder, and service entrance wiring applications.
This wire is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where THHN conductors are specified. The blue insulation color makes it easy to identify during installation and inspection, supporting phase identification and code compliance in multi-conductor conduit runs. It is appropriate for dry locations and is commonly pulled through EMT, rigid metal conduit, PVC conduit, and other raceway systems. Electricians working on panel feeds, sub-panels, and large branch circuits will find this conductor a direct fit for standard THHN applications.
Designed as a standard THHN-rated copper building wire for use in conduit and raceway systems where 1/0 AWG conductors are required per NEC specifications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. Use wire pulling lubricant rated for THHN insulation when pulling through conduit to avoid jacket damage. Ensure termination lugs and overcurrent devices are rated for the conductor size and the appropriate temperature rating being applied.
