The THHNCU-GENERIC tffn16strwht500r is a TFFN-rated, 16 AWG stranded copper building wire supplied on a 500-foot spool with white insulation. The conductor is fully annealed bare copper with 26-strand construction, giving it the flexibility needed for conduit pulls and panel wiring. PVC insulation with a nylon jacket meets TFFN designation requirements and carries a 600-volt rating with a dry-location temperature rating of 90 degrees C. Electricians use this wire for branch circuit wiring, lighting circuits, motor leads, and general-purpose low-voltage control wiring where TFFN or THHN-style wire is specified.
This wire is suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where flexible stranded conductors are required inside conduit or raceways. The white jacket color supports standard color-coding practices for neutral conductors in single-phase systems or phase identification in multi-wire branch circuits. The 500-foot spool quantity is appropriate for medium-scale jobs and service truck stocking. Installation must comply with the NEC and applicable local codes governing ampacity, conduit fill, and conductor color assignments.
Designed for use in conduit, raceways, and open wiring applications where TFFN or nylon-jacketed 16 AWG stranded wire is specified per NEC guidelines for dry locations rated at 600 volts or less.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before pulling or terminating wire. Verify conduit fill calculations for 16 AWG conductors before pulling multiple wires through a shared raceway. This wire is rated for dry locations only and must not be used in wet or damp environments unless the installation method and all other components are rated accordingly.
