The THHNCU-GENERIC tffn16strpnk500r is a 16 AWG stranded TFFN building wire with a copper conductor and pink PVC insulation. It is rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C, making it suitable for branch circuit wiring, control wiring, and fixture wiring in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. The wire features a 26-strand configuration for flexibility during routing and termination. A nylon jacket over the PVC insulation provides additional resistance to abrasion and oils. Each spool contains 500 feet of continuous wire, reducing splices on larger runs. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical contractors are the primary installers of this wire type.
TFFN wire is used in conduit for fixture branch circuits, panel wiring, and low-voltage control runs where a flexible, color-coded conductor is required. The pink color coding supports multi-conductor identification in control panels, motor circuits, and building automation wiring where color differentiation among multiple conductors is standard practice. This spool format is well suited to commercial panel builds, service van stock, and job-site rough-in work where larger quantities are consumed in a single run.
Designed for use in conduit systems where TFFN or THHN-type building wire is specified for fixture wiring, branch circuit wiring, and control applications rated up to 600 volts.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or splicing. TFFN wire is rated for use in conduit only and is not approved for direct burial or exposed outdoor runs. Use appropriate wire connectors and terminals rated for the conductor size and circuit ampacity.
