The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn300mcmstrblumr is a 300 kcmil stranded copper THHN building wire with blue PVC insulation and a nylon jacket. It is designed for use in conduit in dry locations and carries a 600-volt rating with a 90 degrees C temperature rating in dry conditions. The 37-strand construction provides flexibility during pull-through in conduit runs. Current capacity is 240 amps at 60 degrees C, 285 amps at 75 degrees C, and 320 amps at 90 degrees C. Electricians use this wire for large-load branch circuits, feeder runs, and service entrance applications where a high-ampacity copper conductor is required.
This wire is suited for commercial and industrial installations where conduit-run conductors must meet NEC ampacity requirements for large equipment, motor feeders, and distribution panels. The blue insulation aids in phase and circuit identification during installation and inspection. It is sold cut to length, making it practical for job-site orders where specific footage is needed without purchasing a full reel. Suitable for dry conduit environments as defined by NEC installation guidelines.
Designed for use as a THHN building wire conductor in conduit systems where 300 kcmil copper wire is specified per NEC ampacity tables for feeder and branch circuit applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any terminations. This wire is rated for dry conduit installations only and must not be used in wet or direct-burial applications without an appropriate wet-location or direct-burial rating. Use proper wire pulling lubricant and conduit fill calculations when pulling 300 kcmil conductors through conduit to avoid insulation damage.
