The thhn2/0stryelmr is a 2/0 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire with yellow PVC insulation and a nylon jacket, rated for 600 volts. It ships cut to the length you order, making it practical for panel feeds, service entrance work, feeder runs, and large branch circuits. The 19-strand construction provides flexibility during pull-through conduit work. Ampacity is 145 amps at 60 degrees C, 175 amps at 75 degrees C, and 195 amps at 90 degrees C, giving installers flexibility depending on the termination rating of the equipment being served. The 90 degrees C dry-location temperature rating meets requirements for conduit runs in commercial and residential applications.
This wire is used by licensed electricians in residential service upgrades, commercial panel feeds, motor feeder circuits, and industrial conduit systems. The 2/0 AWG size is commonly pulled for subpanel feeders, large HVAC equipment connections, and service conductors where load calculations demand high-ampacity conductors. The yellow insulation color supports phase identification and color-coding practices used in multi-conductor conduit installations. Cut-to-length availability reduces waste on job sites where custom run lengths are required.
Designed for use in conduit systems as a THHN building wire conductor for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where 600-volt-rated, 2/0 AWG copper feeder or branch-circuit wire is required.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before making any connections. Use appropriately rated conduit, connectors, and lugs sized for 2/0 AWG conductors, and confirm that termination points are rated for the temperature range being utilized. Do not exceed the ampacity limits listed for the termination temperature rating of the connected equipment.
