The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn14strwht500r is a 14 AWG stranded copper THHN wire rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C in dry locations. The conductor is built with 19 strands for flexibility during pull-through and termination work. PVC insulation with a nylon jacket provides abrasion and chemical resistance, making it suitable for conduit runs in commercial and residential wiring applications. The white insulation color supports standard color-coding practices required by the NEC. Each spool contains 500 feet of continuous conductor, reducing the need for mid-run splices on longer branch circuit runs. Licensed electricians and wiremen install this wire on branch circuits rated at 15 amps.
This wire is used in conduit systems for branch circuit wiring in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. Common applications include lighting circuits, outlet branch circuits, and general-purpose 15-amp circuits. The stranded construction makes it easier to route through conduit bends and junction boxes compared to solid conductors. The 500-foot spool length is practical for panel-to-device runs, multi-circuit rough-in work, and service upgrades where white-coded conductors are needed for neutral identification or traveler designation.
Designed for use in conduit systems as a general-purpose 14 AWG THHN branch circuit conductor in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage before making any terminations. THHN wire must be installed inside an approved conduit or raceway — it is not rated for direct burial or open-air exposed runs without additional protection. Use appropriate wire-pulling lubricant when routing through long conduit runs or runs with multiple bends to avoid jacket damage.
