The thhn1strbrnmr is a 1 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire with brown PVC insulation and a nylon jacket, rated for 600 volts and up to 90 degrees C in dry applications. Available cut to length, this wire is suited for branch circuit and feeder wiring in commercial and residential electrical systems. The 19-strand configuration provides flexibility for pulling through conduit. Current capacity is 110 amps at 60 degrees C, 130 amps at 75 degrees C, and 150 amps at 90 degrees C, making it appropriate for higher-ampacity circuits installed to NEC requirements.
This wire is used in conduit runs for panels, subpanels, motor feeds, and branch circuits in both residential and commercial construction. The brown insulation color supports phase identification in multi-conductor installations. Cut-to-length purchasing allows electricians and contractors to order exactly what a job requires without excess material. Typical applications include service entrance feeders, mechanical equipment circuits, and general wiring in EMT, rigid metal conduit, or PVC conduit systems.
Designed for use in conduit systems where THHN-rated 1 AWG copper conductors are specified per NEC ampacity and application tables. Suitable for dry locations as a branch circuit or feeder conductor.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before terminating conductors. Use wire pulling lubricant rated compatible with THHN insulation when pulling through conduit. Do not exceed the temperature, voltage, or ampacity ratings listed for the installation condition.
