The THHNCU-GENERIC thhn1strblumr is a 1 AWG stranded copper conductor THHN building wire rated for 600 volts. It features a blue PVC thermoplastic insulation with a nylon outer jacket, giving it the dual designation of THHN/THWN-2 suitability in dry and wet locations up to 90 degrees C. The 19-strand configuration provides flexibility during pulling and termination. Rated at 130 amps at 75 degrees C for most feeder and branch circuit applications, this wire is a standard choice for electricians running feeders, sub-panel circuits, and branch wiring in commercial and residential installations. It is sold cut to length to minimize waste on the job.
This wire is used in conduit runs for feeder circuits, motor branch circuits, panel feeders, and general-purpose branch wiring in both residential and commercial construction. The blue insulation color supports color-coded wiring systems for easy phase or circuit identification during installation and future service work. It is appropriate for dry and damp locations where THHN-rated conductors are specified.
Designed for use in conduit systems where THHN-rated 1 AWG stranded copper conductors are specified per NEC feeder and branch circuit requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling and terminating conductors. Use appropriate conduit fill calculations per NEC Article 310 and Chapter 9 to verify conduit sizing before pulling. Avoid over-bending or kinking during pulls to preserve insulation integrity.
