The THERMWELL T94H is a transparent, adhesive weatherproofing tape designed to seal air and moisture leaks around windows and similar penetrations. Measuring 2 inches wide by 25 feet long, each roll delivers a clear, low-visibility seal that blends with window frames and glass edges. The pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds to common window surround materials including painted wood, vinyl, and aluminum. HVAC technicians, weatherization contractors, and general building-envelope tradespeople install this tape as part of air-sealing scopes on residential and light-commercial work. The transparent finish makes it practical for finished interior and exterior window trim where an opaque tape would be conspicuous.
The T94H is suited for sealing the perimeter gaps where window frames meet rough openings, as well as around sashes, sills, and adjacent trim. It performs in standard weatherization applications where a flexible, adhesive film is needed to block drafts and incidental moisture intrusion. It is not a rated vapor barrier product and should not be substituted for code-specified flashing tape in new-construction weather-resistant barrier assemblies. Typical use cases include residential retrofit weatherization, window re-glazing prep, and seasonal air-sealing maintenance work.
Designed for general weatherproofing use around residential and light-commercial window installations where an adhesive transparent sealing tape is required.
Clean and dry all surfaces before application to ensure full adhesive contact. No special tools are required beyond a tape measure and a utility knife or scissors for cutting to length. Follow local energy codes (such as IECC requirements) when incorporating tape sealing into a broader building-envelope air-sealing scope. This product is not a substitute for code-required window flashing or weather-resistant barrier integration at rough openings.
