The THERMWELL RV/36H is a replacement vinyl insert designed to restore the weathersealing function of Frost King aluminum door thresholds. The insert measures 1.875 inches wide by 36 inches long and is finished in gray to match standard aluminum threshold profiles. When the vinyl insert in a threshold wears, compresses, or cracks, drafts and moisture infiltration increase. This part replaces the worn insert without requiring full threshold replacement. Installation is straightforward and is typically handled by general contractors, handymen, or building maintenance staff. This insert is not compatible with M.D. threshold profiles.

This insert is suited for residential and light commercial exterior door applications where an existing Frost King aluminum threshold is already installed. It is a direct drop-in replacement for the vinyl insert portion of those thresholds, making it a practical repair option for entry doors experiencing air or water infiltration at the sill.
