The THERMAL DYNAMICS 3-5830-1 is a plasma cutter power supply designed for the Cutmaster 58 system, operating on 208-230 volts AC input. It delivers 6.2 kW of rated output at 60 amps with a 50% duty cycle, making it a capable power source for industrial cutting applications. This unit supports automatic multi-voltage detection and is built for portability with an integral multi-handle design. Licensed welding and cutting technicians working in fabrication shops, construction sites, or maintenance environments install and operate this equipment.
The 3-5830-1 power supply is suited for civil construction, general manufacturing, and repair and maintenance operations. It is designed to cut mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with a recommended cut capacity of 5/8 inch (16 mm), a maximum cut rating greater than 1 inch (25 mm), and a pierce rating of 1/2 inch (13 mm). This power supply is the 208-230 VAC variant of the Cutmaster 58 platform. Compatible complete system models for the 208-230 VAC range include 1-5830-1 (6 m torch) and 1-5831-1 (15.2 m torch). The 400-480 VAC power supply equivalent is model 3-5830-2.
This power supply is the 208-230 VAC component of the Cutmaster 58 system. It is compatible with the SL60QD 1Torch quick disconnect torch assemblies, including models 1-5830-1 and 1-5831-1. The Advanced Torch Connector (ATC) with SureLok technology allows selective replacement of the torch handle assembly or torch leads independently.
This equipment is installed by qualified welding technicians or licensed electricians familiar with plasma cutting systems and applicable electrical codes. Disconnect and lock out all power at the source before making any electrical connections or servicing internal components. Verify that the supply voltage matches the 208-230 VAC input rating before energizing the unit. Follow the manufacturer's documentation and all applicable NFPA and NEC requirements for equipment grounding and circuit protection.
