The THERMAL DYNAMICS 1-3000-1 is a single-phase, dual-voltage plasma cutter in the Cutmaster 30+ series, designed for cutting and gouging metal in light-duty to moderate applications. It accepts input power at either 110V or 240V AC, making it adaptable to shop and field environments without rewiring. The unit delivers up to 30 amps of cutting output with a 40% duty cycle at full amperage, or a sustained 100% duty cycle at 20 amps. At 24.25 pounds, it is portable enough for technicians and fabricators to move between work areas. A digital display provides real-time output monitoring during operation.
The 1-3000-1 is suited for metal cutting and gouging tasks on material thicknesses ranging from 1/32 inch up to 1/2 inch, with a rated severe-cut capacity of up to 1 inch. It uses compressed air as the plasma gas, supplied at 90 to 125 psi. The handheld plasma torch connects via a 10-foot cutting cable, giving the operator working room around the workpiece. A 13-foot ground cord is included. This unit fits residential fabrication shops, light industrial environments, and mobile service setups where dual-voltage flexibility is required.
Designed for use with compressed air supply systems capable of delivering 90 to 125 psi; compatible with standard 6-50P outlet configurations for 240V operation.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified electrician or certified welding professional familiar with plasma cutting equipment. Verify that the power source matches the selected input voltage before connecting, and confirm the outlet is rated for the 6-50P plug type at 240V or an appropriate 110V circuit. Disconnect all power before inspecting or replacing consumables on the torch. Ensure adequate ventilation and appropriate PPE, including eye protection rated for plasma arc work, before operating.
