The TETON XPF4500 is a stainless steel solids handling submersible pump built for demanding sump, drainage, and wastewater removal applications. The pump is constructed with a stainless steel housing for corrosion resistance and is designed to pass solids without clogging, making it a reliable choice where standard utility pumps fall short. An 18-foot power cord provides flexibility during installation and allows the pump to reach a standard electrical outlet without extension cords in most residential and light commercial settings. Licensed plumbers and experienced contractors typically handle pump installation and service.
The XPF4500 is suited for residential and light commercial drainage tasks where solid-laden water or debris-heavy effluent must be moved. Typical applications include basement sump pits, crawl space drainage, construction site dewatering, and utility water removal. The solids handling vortex impeller design allows the pump to move water containing particulates without binding, reducing service calls and downtime in active drainage scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style submersible utility pump suitable for residential and light commercial sump and drainage installations where a solids handling submersible pump is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified contractor in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before servicing or repositioning the pump. Ensure the discharge line is properly sized and secured before energizing the unit. Do not run the pump dry, as this can cause premature seal and motor damage.
