The TEMPO COMMUNICATIONS PE2003-G is a pulse ground fault locator designed for identifying ground faults in low-voltage wiring and cable systems. It works by injecting a pulsed signal into a faulted conductor, allowing a technician to trace and pinpoint the fault location without damaging the cable. This tool is used in telecom, electrical, and low-voltage wiring applications where precise fault isolation reduces diagnostic time and avoids unnecessary cable replacement. Licensed electricians, telecom technicians, and low-voltage specialists rely on this type of instrument during troubleshooting and maintenance operations.
The PE2003-G suits residential, commercial, and light industrial environments where ground faults occur in telephone lines, data cables, alarm wiring, or other low-voltage conductor runs. It is particularly useful in situations where a fault location is buried, enclosed in conduit, or otherwise difficult to access visually. The pulsed-signal method helps the technician walk the run and locate the fault zone without extensive excavation or destructive investigation.
Designed for use with low-voltage wiring systems including telephone cable, data cable, and alarm conductor runs where ground faults require isolation and locating.
This instrument is operated by licensed electricians or low-voltage technicians trained in cable fault diagnostics. Before connecting the PE2003-G to any conductor, de-energize and isolate the circuit at the source. Follow all applicable NEC guidelines for low-voltage wiring work. Do not apply the pulse signal to energized or high-voltage conductors.
