The TEMPO COMMUNICATIONS 711c is a bushing designed for use with metal stud framing, providing a clean, protected pathway for cables and wires passing through stud knockouts. The 711c fits a 7/8-inch hole, making it a standard size for low-voltage and electrical rough-in work through metal stud walls. Electricians and low-voltage installers use this type of bushing to protect cable jackets from the sharp edges of sheet metal studs, reducing the risk of insulation damage that can cause shorts or signal degradation.
The 711c is suited for residential and light commercial construction where cables are routed through metal stud wall assemblies. Common applications include low-voltage wiring runs for data, voice, AV, and security systems, as well as standard electrical rough-in where code requires edge protection through metal framing. It is compatible with the TEMPO COMMUNICATIONS 100P installation system, making it a practical accessory for installers already working with that platform.
Designed for use with the TEMPO COMMUNICATIONS 100P system and standard 7/8-inch metal stud knockouts.
Installation is performed by electricians or low-voltage technicians during the rough-in phase of construction. The bushing snaps or seats into the metal stud knockout before cables are pulled through. Always de-energize any circuits in the work area before routing conductors. Follow applicable NEC requirements for cable protection through metal framing members.
