The TEMPIL 24432 is a temperature indicating liquid used to verify surface temperatures during heat-treating, welding, brazing, soldering, and other thermal processes. Applied to a work surface, the liquid melts at its designated temperature and leaves a clearly visible mark, giving technicians a reliable visual confirmation that the target temperature has been reached. Rated at 1150 degrees F (621 degrees C), this formulation is accurate within plus or minus 1 percent of the Fahrenheit rating and plus or minus 3 percent of the Celsius rating. It comes in a 2 oz container and is used by welders, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and metalworkers in both shop and field settings.
This temperature indicating liquid is suited for use on glass, metal, and plastic surfaces. It dries quickly on both horizontal and vertical surfaces, making it practical for on-site applications where parts may be in any orientation. The enhanced formula is designed to reduce settling in the container, maintaining consistency across the service life of the product. Typical applications include pre-heat verification, stress-relief processes, and quality control checks during fabrication and repair work.
Designed for use on glass, metal, and plastic surfaces across a wide range of thermal process applications including welding, brazing, and heat treating.
Applied by brush or direct contact to the work surface prior to or during the heating process. Ensure the surface is clean and free of heavy scale or contamination before application to get an accurate melt indication. Allow the liquid to dry before heating begins. Handle in a well-ventilated area and follow all applicable safety data sheet guidelines for the specific formulation.
