The TELEMECANIQUE SENSORS XS508B1NAL2 is a cylinder shielded inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of metallic targets in industrial and commercial automation systems. Built into an M8 stainless steel housing, this sensor delivers a detection distance of 0.06 inches (1.5 mm) and operates on 12 to 24 volts DC. It outputs a normally open (NO) NPN signal over a 3-wire cable connection and supports a response frequency of 5,000 Hz, making it suitable for high-cycle-rate sensing applications.
