The TELEMECANIQUE SENSORS XCSDMP7012 is a noncontact safety limit switch designed for machine guarding and safety interlock applications in industrial control systems. It operates at 24 volts DC and is rated for 100 amps, with a NO/2NC contact configuration that supports both normally open and dual normally closed safety circuits. The plastic housing measures 25 mm wide, 13 mm deep, and 88 mm tall, keeping the footprint compact in tight panel or door-frame installations. A factory-attached 2-meter cable simplifies wiring to the control panel without requiring conduit terminations at the switch body. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers of this device.
This safety limit switch is suited for residential and commercial machine guarding installations where noncontact actuation is required. Common applications include access doors, safety gates, and guarded enclosures on automated equipment where a physical actuator would wear or where tamper resistance is a priority. The NO/2NC configuration makes it compatible with safety relay modules and safety PLCs that require monitored dual-channel inputs. The IP66 and IP67 ingress ratings allow deployment in wet or washdown environments such as food processing areas, outdoor enclosures, or locations exposed to coolant splash.
Designed as an OEM-style safety interlock switch for machine guarding and safety gate applications requiring noncontact actuation with a NO/2NC output configuration compatible with standard safety relay modules and safety PLC input circuits.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or industrial controls technician in accordance with NEC guidelines and EN/IEC 60204-1 machine safety standards. De-energize and lock out the machine control circuit before mounting or wiring the switch. Verify that the mounting gap between the switch body and actuator target meets the manufacturer alignment specifications before commissioning. Do not exceed the rated operating voltage or current, and confirm cable routing is protected from pinch points or abrasion in the final installation.
