The TELEMECANIQUE SENSORS XCSDMC7912 is a noncontact safety limit switch designed for machine guarding and safety interlock applications in industrial automation systems. It operates at 24 volts DC and is rated for 100 amps with a 2NC contact configuration, making it well suited for safety circuits that require normally closed monitoring of guard doors, access panels, and protective covers. The switch features a plastic housing with an IP66 and IP67 ingress protection rating, providing reliable resistance to dust and water intrusion in demanding environments. A licensed electrician or automation technician typically handles installation on light curtains, safety relay systems, or safety PLC inputs.
The XCSDMC7912 is used in residential and commercial machine safety applications where noncontact actuation is required to monitor the open or closed state of access guards, hinged panels, or sliding doors. The 2-meter cable length allows flexible routing to a control panel or safety relay without additional extension in many standard installations. Its compact body measures 16 millimeters wide, 7 millimeters deep, and 51 millimeters high, making it suitable for space-constrained mounting locations on equipment frames and enclosures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct addition for industrial machine safety systems requiring a noncontact safety limit switch with a 2NC configuration and 24 VDC input.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or automation technician familiar with machine safety standards. Disconnect and lock out all power to the machine before mounting or wiring the switch. Follow applicable standards including EN/IEC 60204-1 and UL 508 for proper safety circuit integration. Do not exceed the rated voltage or amperage, and verify that the mating actuator is positioned within the manufacturer-specified sensing distance before returning the machine to service.
