The TELEMECANIQUE 9036GG2 is a power circuit float switch designed for open tank and sump applications where liquid level control is required. Part of the Class 9036 Type G series, it uses a single arm lever operator to detect rising liquid levels and actuate a 2-pole, 2NO contact configuration rated for up to 5 HP at 460/575 VAC single- or three-phase, and 1 HP at 230 VDC. The enclosure is NEMA 1 rated and constructed from Noryl thermoplastic resin, making it suitable for indoor industrial and commercial environments. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers for this type of switch.
The 9036GG2 is used in open tank and sump installations where the switch must detect when liquid rises above a set level. The 2NO contact configuration closes on liquid rise, making this unit suited for tank emptying applications. Floor mounting is the standard installation method, though pedestal mounting is possible with a separate mounting plate. The switch operates across a wide temperature range of -22 to 220 degrees F, supporting use in demanding process and utility environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct installation float switch for open tank and sump level control circuits within the Class 9036 Type G series. Also referenced under alternate catalog number 9007MA11M.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before mounting or wiring the switch. Verify that the supply voltage and horsepower load do not exceed the switch ratings prior to connection. Floor mounting hardware should be secured to a stable surface to ensure consistent float arm travel and accurate level actuation.
