The TELEMECANIQUE 9007AO1 is a heavy-duty industrial limit switch designed for precision position sensing and control circuit switching in demanding industrial environments. It features an SPDT, 1NO-1NC double-break contact configuration rated for 600 VAC/VDC at 15 amps, making it suitable for high-cycle control applications. The plunger-head actuator operates on a spring-return, snap-action mechanism, delivering consistent and repeatable switching performance. The body is constructed from cast zinc for durability, and screw clamp terminals accept 22 to 14 AWG wire. This switch is installed by licensed electricians and industrial control technicians.
This limit switch is used in industrial control systems where precise position detection is required. It has been incorporated into a wide range of Square D products including timers, specialty push buttons, foot switches, operating mechanisms, door interlocks, motor control centers, and position switches, as well as many other control products. Typical applications include machine guarding, conveyor positioning, and automated equipment interlock circuits in both light and heavy industrial settings. An adjustable actuator is recommended for this switch; if a non-adjustable actuator is used, a resilient type or a mechanical stop should be employed to prevent bottoming of the button mechanism.
The 9007AO1 has been incorporated into Square D products including timers, specialty push buttons, foot switches, operating mechanisms, door interlocks, motor control centers, and position switches. Designed as an OEM-style heavy-duty industrial snap switch for use in industrial control panel and machine automation applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the control circuit before removing or installing the switch. If a non-adjustable actuator is used, ensure a resilient actuator type or a mechanical stop is in place to prevent bottoming of the plunger mechanism. Verify that wire terminations at the screw clamp terminals are secure and within the 22 to 14 AWG wire size range before restoring power.
