The TE-CO 35001 is a 5C collet stop assembly designed for use with 5C collet systems on lathes, collet chucks, and collet closers. It controls workpiece depth positioning, allowing repeatable part stop locations during turning, facing, and bar-feed operations. The assembly ships complete with a 5C collet stop, a 5C collet stop extension tube, and a 5C collet stop wrench, so the installer has everything required for a full setup without sourcing additional components. Weighing 1.16 pounds, it is sized for standard 5C tooling. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This assembly is suited for production and job-shop environments running 5C collet equipment. Typical applications include repetitive-length turning on manual and CNC lathes, Swiss-type screw machines, and indexing fixtures that accept 5C tooling. The extension tube allows the stop to reach further into longer workpieces or deeper collet arrangements, giving the user flexibility across a range of part geometries without swapping hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation component for equipment using standard 5C collet tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician familiar with 5C collet systems. Before installing or adjusting the collet stop, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a locked, non-rotating state. Use the included wrench to seat and secure the stop to the specified position rather than improvised tools, which can damage the threads. Follow the machine manufacturer's guidelines and any applicable workplace safety standards when working inside collet closers or spindle bores.
