The TB WOODS TB-WE3 is a standard two-piece flexible coupling element designed for use in the Dura-Flex WE series tire coupling system. Manufactured from polyether urethane, this tire-type element absorbs shock, vibration, and minor misalignment between coupled shafts in rotating drive applications. It carries a torque capacity of 365 inch-pounds and is rated for speeds up to 7,500 RPM. The element handles up to 4 degrees of angular misalignment and up to 1/16 inch of parallel misalignment, making it well suited for drives where shaft alignment is difficult to hold perfectly. Maintenance technicians and millwrights install this element as part of routine coupling maintenance or drive repair.
This element fits Dura-Flex WE series couplings sized to coupling size code 3, with a coupling overall length of 4.32 inches and an outside diameter of 4.24 inches. Distance between shafts is 1.32 inches. The TB-WE3 is appropriate for industrial drive applications including conveyor systems, pumps, fans, and general power transmission equipment where flexible coupling elements are replaced on a scheduled basis or following wear inspection.
