The TACO 1641eae30000000 is a 2-inch by 2-inch in-line cartridge pump designed for hydronic and commercial fluid circulation systems. Rated for operating temperatures up to 250 degrees F, it features a cast iron casing and bracket paired with a stainless steel impeller and shaft. The 7.9-inch nominal impeller diameter works within a replaceable bearing cartridge that houses permanently sealed, grease-lubricated ball bearings, isolating them from system fluid. A standardized mechanical seal assembly with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT elastomers manages the rotating interface. This unit ships less motor and requires the installer to supply a motor matched to the application horsepower, speed, enclosure type, voltage, and phase requirements.
This pump is suited for in-line installation in closed hydronic heating and cooling systems found in light commercial and larger residential applications. The Series 1600 design uses a rear pull-out configuration, allowing the motor and rotating assembly to be removed for service without breaking pipe connections. This makes it practical for mechanical rooms where piping access is limited. HVAC mechanics and pipefitters typically install this unit as part of a primary or secondary loop configuration where the motor is sourced separately to meet site-specific electrical and load requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style in-line cartridge pump replacement for closed hydronic heating and cooling systems requiring a 2-inch suction and 2-inch discharge connection with a 7.9-inch impeller.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or pipefitter. Shut down and depressurize the hydronic system and isolate the pump with service valves before beginning work. The motor must be selected and wired to meet all applicable NEC requirements for the intended voltage, phase, and enclosure rating. The rear pull-out design permits rotating assembly service without pipe removal, but confirm the motor frame and mounting dimensions are compatible before final assembly.
