The TACO 007-f5 is a cast iron circulator pump rated at 1/25 HP and designed for residential hydronic and radiant heating systems. It delivers a maximum flow of 23 gallons per minute (GPM) with a maximum head of 10 feet, operating on 115 volts at 60 Hz and drawing 0.71 amps. The pump runs on a self-lubricating cartridge design that eliminates the need for routine lubrication service. At 3,250 RPM, it operates quietly enough for close-proximity installation. The cartridge is field-replaceable without special tooling, keeping maintenance straightforward. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this unit in zoning and whole-system hydronic applications.
The 007-f5 is suited for residential zoning applications, whole-house radiant floor heating loops, and baseboard hydronic systems. It handles fluid temperatures from 40 degrees F to 240 degrees F and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 125 psi. The flanged connection accepts 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/4-inch, and 1-1/2-inch fittings, making it adaptable to a range of existing piping configurations. Its compact footprint supports installation in tight mechanical room spaces where clearance is limited.
The TACO 007-f5 is a direct replacement for the 007-F4 and 007-F3 circulator pumps. It is designed for residential hydronic and radiant heating systems using flanged pipe connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician familiar with closed-loop hydronic systems. Shut off power to the system and isolate the loop by closing isolation valves before removing the existing circulator. Drain or depressurize the affected section of piping as required before breaking flanged connections. Verify flange bolt torque is appropriate for the pipe material and gasket type being used, following the fitting manufacturer's guidance rather than any assumed value.
