The SYSTEM SENSOR b200s-lf-wh is an intelligent addressable sounder base designed for use with addressable detector heads in fire alarm systems. It generates a low-frequency tone at approximately 520 Hz, a range demonstrated to be more effective at waking individuals in sleeping areas compared to standard high-frequency devices. The unit weighs 0.2 pounds and measures 1.60 inches by 6.85 inches by 6.85 inches. Licensed fire alarm technicians and life safety contractors install this base as part of an addressable detection system in both commercial and residential applications. It meets or exceeds UL268 and UL464 requirements.
The b200s-lf-wh is suited for residential and commercial fire alarm installations where low-frequency audible notification is required, particularly in sleeping areas. It supports multiple tone patterns, including Continuous, Temporal 3, March Time, and Temporal 4, giving system designers flexibility to meet site-specific notification requirements. The Temporal 3 pattern satisfies the NFPA 72 three-pulse fire alarm signal requirement for commercial and residential use. The Temporal 4 pattern also satisfies UL268 and UL2075 requirements as well as the private mode setting of UL 464.
Designed for use with addressable detector heads as part of an intelligent addressable fire alarm system. Compatible applications include commercial and residential installations requiring NFPA 72-compliant audible notification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes. Disconnect system power and follow the fire alarm control panel manufacturer lockout procedures before removing or installing any detector head or sounder base. Do not apply power until the detector head is fully seated and the base is secured to its mounting surface. Refer to the System Sensor installation manual for wiring configuration and addressable loop connection details.
