The SYSTEM SENSOR 4WTA-B is a 4-wire photoelectric smoke detector with integrated thermal sensing and a built-in audible alarm sounder. Designed for commercial and residential fire alarm systems, this unit uses a photoelectric detection chamber to identify slow-smoldering fires and smoke conditions. The thermal element provides an additional layer of detection for fast-rising heat events. The on-board sounder delivers local audible notification without requiring a separate horn or strobe unit. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors install and service this device as part of a supervised initiating device circuit.
The 4WTA-B is suited for installation in commercial buildings, multi-family residential properties, and institutional facilities where 4-wire detector circuits are specified. It is compatible with conventional 4-wire fire alarm control panels that support supervised initiating device circuits. The combination of photoelectric smoke sensing, thermal detection, and integral sounder makes it appropriate for corridors, stairwells, mechanical rooms, and other areas requiring combined detection and local notification in a single device.
Designed for use with conventional 4-wire fire alarm control panels that support supervised initiating device circuits. Refer to the panel manufacturer specifications and the product installation manual to confirm compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage contractor in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the fire alarm control panel before wiring or removing any detector. Verify that the host panel supports 4-wire detector circuits and that the end-of-line resistor values match panel requirements. Do not install in areas subject to excessive dust, humidity, or airborne particulates that could cause nuisance alarms without first consulting the product manual for environmental suitability ratings.
