The SYMMONS 7-102 is a TempControl thermostatic mixing valve designed to automatically blend hot and cold water to a stable, controlled outlet temperature. Built with a brass body and featuring 1/2 inch female NPT (FPT) inlet and outlet connections, this valve is rated for a minimum flow rate of 0.5 GPM and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi. It compensates automatically for fluctuations in supply line temperature and pressure, maintaining consistent mixed water temperature at the outlet. The 7-102 is lead free and ASSE 1017 certified for point-of-source applications. Licensed plumbers install this valve as part of a domestic hot water distribution system.
The SYMMONS 7-102 is suited for tempered domestic potable water applications where outlet temperature must be regulated before water reaches distribution points. Typical installations include the main hot water supply in hospitals, schools, and apartment buildings. The valve includes integral check stops, eliminating the need for separate isolation valves during service. This model is backwards compatible with the previous 6-102 and 5-102 Series TempControl valves, making it a direct replacement option in existing installations.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASSE 1017 guidelines. Shut off the hot and cold water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning any work. Verify that the supply pressures at the inlet are within the rated maximum of 125 psi before commissioning the valve. Do not overtighten FPT connections; use appropriate thread sealant approved for potable water service.
