The SURECALL SC-231W is a directional outdoor Yagi antenna rated at 75 ohms impedance, designed for use with cellular booster systems. Yagi antennas focus signal capture in a single direction, making them well suited for installations where the cell tower is at a known bearing and maximum gain toward that source is required. The SC-231W mounts externally and feeds the cellular booster unit inside the building, forming the donor antenna side of the signal amplification chain. Licensed or experienced low-voltage and communications technicians are the typical installers.
This antenna is used in residential and light commercial cellular booster deployments where an omnidirectional antenna cannot achieve adequate signal from the serving tower. It is pointed toward the nearest cell tower and connected to a compatible cellular signal booster or amplifier through coaxial cable. The 75-ohm impedance rating must match the input impedance of the booster and the coaxial cable used in the run to avoid signal loss from impedance mismatch.
Designed as a donor-side outdoor antenna for use with cellular booster systems requiring a 75-ohm directional Yagi input antenna.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage or communications technician. Power down the cellular booster unit before connecting or disconnecting antenna cables. Ensure the coaxial cable impedance matches the 75-ohm rating of this antenna throughout the entire run to the booster. Follow all applicable local codes and FCC regulations governing cellular signal booster installations.
